Dale Grundon
Mount Gretna PA
Following an early retirement from
the TV Broadcasting and Production industry I began working with stained glass.
Subjects are often from nature and I enjoy creating designs applicable to the
Arts and Crafts movement of the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Although some
of the distribution is from local galleries, the majority of my work is
accomplished on a commission basis. I enjoy working directly with the client
since it results in glass selection appropriate for the individuals intended
decorating decor and harmonizes the design to reflect their life style or
interest.
Having done wood working previously as a hobby, I like to combine projects using
both media. Specializing in the Prairie style lamps is natural to this mix as
all of the lamp bases are produced in my wood shop.
I enjoy sharing my interest in stained glass with others and since 1998 have been the resident instructor in Stained Glass Art for the Pennsylvania Chautauqua in Mount Gretna, Pennsylvania.
